I haven’t listened to the cast yet, gotta fit you back into the rotation probably another week or so. (it’s just my cheap player it goes in order and i found a few new casts after you went AFK)
Probably jones’n for some Yak cast so i listened to the first few minutes. lol love the mention. Thx.
I only got past the part you pre-ordered TOR??? Is there more in the cast as to why?
I check the game cut scenes and i go OMG i have to get this but whenever i get to the down and dirty (gameplay) I’m thinking it ain’t going to be that good. Looks like wow with a star wars skin.
What am i missing, or is it in the cast?

OK, listened to it. Still not sold on it, i think if one loved kotor (i did, played both more than once) you’ll most likely love this game.
I can wait though for a cheaper price, trial, or goes F2P, the stories ain’t ever going to change after a month, 6 months, a year, they’ll never scrap all that voice work.
AoC i think is great example, i loved the game until level 15,17 ish at that point i had enough of the single player game portion and wanted the mmo to start but no i had another 4′ish levels to go.
Finally, finally made it to the mmo part and was able to immerse my self into the mmo world, finally!!! and i loved it for the next few months. Then came alt time, OMG i have to go through all that talking again, and quit i couldn’t do it, not because it’s the same story either had it been a different one i still wouldn’t have rolled an alt, i only wanted to play the mmo of AoC. AND that is why i’m skittish about ToR it’s all Tortage, at its core it’s a single player game.
I play single player games for the story, it’s just me and the game. I play mmo’s to explore worlds, craft, take my time leveling and soak in the environments, group for the comradery and so on.
The thought of me and a million others and rolling on choices, I’m going to wait. To me it seems allot of the ToR environments are walled backgrounds, as in it may seem you could go that way and explore but really it’s a wall, as in lorto in the Old Forest.
Taking the no rush approach. Glad you’ve ordered though as i will get the real skinny on it.

Great cast! Very concise info on a few games. Nice!
RE game play for starwars… looks very slow and traditional; however, those games have proven fun for many. I did not know they spent 100 million on it. Can’t wait to hear other updates on the game (even though I’ll likely never play). And be honest if it’s not as polished as you expected. Not making predictions… just saying.

Good show Yak glad to see your back You to Gespenst. I have been asked to give SWTOR a chance and I might dunno though its not all the game play stuff I heard its like I said on my last cast im not that into star wars yeah yeah I know I lose geek cred but meh think the series was too much for me. Maybe the game will be fun but dunno its on a list of maybes right now. I think im going to give DCU another shot as a premium player since I have station cash collecting dust waiting for GW2 hoping Marvel doesnt blow its shot at a decent mmo and playing Dragons age II to kill time till DCU goes free. Yeah I know Sony sucks but I did like the game just hated the lack of population that plagued it when I was playing so maybe just maybe all the changes they are doing (except protecting peoples accounts lol) will bring in a healthy dose of new blood. Either way as I said before good show glad to see ya back.

@Kal Thanks! I love the drunken post! Personally, I am looking very much forward to polished game, then a broken sandbox or pay to win. Shooters get boring after a while and for me it will be nice to have a great MMO with a real RPG story. To each their own, if DDO or DCU floats your boat, then so be it.

my ddo days are unfortunately over not sure how long DCU will hold my interest. Hoping with all my heart that GW2 will be the game to sink my teeth into for awhile. Other then that been playing single player games not as much fun socializing wise but I have to find a likeable community for that again. Either way glad ya liking Star wars hope ya continue to have fun playing it. For me im without an mmo home but its okay im a gamer and resilient.

@Kal Unfortinatly you are going to have to wait another year for GW2 to come out. Single player games are no 90′s to be, LMAO. Star Wars is a hidden gem! Only 63 more days and I am glad that I got into Star Wars as well. However, I owe that all to Gespenst. In the mena time http://www.dungeondefenders.com/tag/pc comes out in a few days. This looks like a little fun dungeon crawler RPG. Yes, it’s multiplayer.
