Hey yeah i’m here, and thanks for asking guys. I’ll grab this cast and post my thoughts in a few days. Nutshell lately i think yak is my brother from another mother or something, I’ve returned to playing what i feel like and ignoring the net wipes altogether and no longer bothering with anticipating games, following, waiting, when is shows up I’ll buy it and play it if i feel like it whether it be mmo, sandbox, single player, if it’s of interest to me I’ll get it. No more hype train bs anymore.
When gaming was new during the pioneering days almost every game was a treat of never before seen coolness of new ideas. The community was much more tight nit as well back then, but as it grew into an industry of money and ideas were labeled risks, games lost their soul. As peons at EA and SOE scratch their heads and smell sh1t on their fingers at this thing called Minecraft and wonder why it’s successful the only thing to know is that’s what an untarnished idea will blossom into.
Dunno somewhere along the way i became a hater as well, trashing companies getting banned from forums telling people swtor will suck arse as an example, why am i trying to tromp on peoples excitement about a game? Dunno, and if people want to spend more months if not years of their time excited waiting for a game that will last a few weeks to a month then you what that’s perfectly fine but i wont be there with them anymore. Think about that these fanbois run wild for years hyping the fuck out of a game and then play for few weeks and move on to a new shiny, rinse repeat.
I’m still into swtor haven’t canceled yet but haven’t fired it up since Mass Effect 3 hit my hard drive, and right about when i’m done, the “delayed” (due to ME 3) 1.2 shiny patch should be out to grab all of us lemmings attention back to that game. Then they will ping pong us back and forth with dlc and new swtor patches i’m sure for as long as they can. But you know what i really gave up caring about this sort of devious business behavior and really just want to enjoy gaming again, as long as i’m enjoying it is all that matters.
The reality is it’s an entertainment industry now and not a cool gaming community anymore and although i really enjoy some of these games as they do entertain me well, i also know that gaming is dead, the community is dead and froth with haters, and morons.
Funny thing is back when i started gaming and playing mmo’s i never bothered with forums i played instead, and i honestly thought you only went to forums to solve problems with running a game and when i did go there was a singularity of common interest and discussions, now its a pissing match of he said she said reality TV on forums.
I’ve not only stopped looking forward to new games Ive actually revisited a few old favorites as well, and not being distracted by what’s coming anymore has let me discover that I’ve gotta a library of cool games i gave up on way too soon and not only that i also have more time to play em and enjoy em as well.

Everyone loves a good rant. Dunno maybe some day I’d get up enough nerve and or desire to come on the show as a guest but for now, yeah for now I’d rather stay a faithful listener and poster.
So you canceled your swtor, /jk TOLD YOU SO /jk
I think the weirdest outcome of all this is that i was the one trying to tell everyone this isn’t going to be the game they think it’s going to be, save everyone from buying this game and here i am the only one still playing? Generally speaking i know some are but so many have left.
I had zero hope, zero hype for swtor and with Rift i pinned it as the next big one one for me, and after a month of six month sub i left.
I think publishers don’t want peeps to be happy with a single game they are riding this gravy train of new games as much as we are. imagine if many people stuck with a game or two? New releases would plummet and existing game would get much more attention as that’s were all the customers are.
